After a one week hiatus due to my packed schedule and the rest of this league’s unmitigated laziness, we are back for a week 4 recap.
Pat Vs Tripp
Is there anything better than stating an opinion, having it thrown back in your face and then ultimately being proven correct. I’m sure the Germans have a word for it.

Tripp would have a great team if WR were taken out of fantasy football. Unfortunately for him this league requires 3 of them. Tripp’s three combined for a miniscule 8.3 fantasy points.
Pat will probably feel aggrieved that I started this breakdown by talking shit to Tripp rather than exalting our high commissioner for his 4-0 start. Pat’s team is the opposite of Tripp’s. His three high end WR1s and the budding superstar that is Kyler Murray have lead Pat to 4 strait dominant performances. Pat will be counting his blessings as his defensive coordinator has been doing the Lord’s work. But without David Montgomery for an extended period, Pat could be short on running backs. Could there be a trade between these two teams in the future? It would make a lot of sense.
Chandler Vs Mike
Is Chandler good at fantasy football? Has Chandler been running a long con on the league? Is Chandlers team being run by someone else as evidenced by his 2 manager listing? Are there 2 Chandlers?
These are all good questions, but what’s not in question is that Chandlers team is 3-1. This team has studs. Ekeler is a monster in this chargers offense. Tyreek Hill busted out of his slow start with 42 damn fantasy points. Lamar Jackson continued will see better fantasy days ahead but his rushing totals give him such a solid floor. This team is missing some depth but the studs are studly and that’s usually a recipe for success in fantasy.
Mike, it might be time to fire your defensive coordinator. At 1-3, it looks like It’s going to be a tough road back to the playoffs. But this team has the 4th most points through 4 weeks, Clyde and Saquon seem to be back on track and the Buccaneers WR pairing is giving the very solid floor we’ve talked about ad nauseum.
Wilburn Vs Corey
Speaking of firing your defensive coordinator, Wilburn it time as well. Wilburn has the fun distinction of having the most points scored and the most points against. Where does that leave him, 2-2.
Corey beat Derrick Henry’s team with a very solid outing across the board with one exception Myles Gaskins. The Dolphins are bad. Tua is bad. Jacoby is bad. Brian Flores is bad. Its time to sit your dolphins and leave them there for the rest of the season. Scarry Terry absolutely lit up the Falcons defense including scoring a game tying TD on one of the dumbest ways in Falcons history. I mean just watch this play.
Corey is going to be around come week 14.
For Wilburn Derrick Henry’s team, the path is clear. Stop giving up so many points. These games have been bigger shootouts than the noon games this Saturday. Miles Sanders might also need to take a seat. He is one of the most efficient running backs in the NFL but he must’ve fucked the coaches daughter. That is the only possible reason I can see for why the Eagles refuse to feed him. There are better days ahead for this team and Wilburn might be on his way to the first playoff appearance of the Rivalry era.
Parker vs Richburg
Now on to teams who wont be in the playoffs. Richburg’s team is the worst in the league. Its not all that close. He’s got an elite fantasy QB, That QB’s number one target, and one of the best running backs in fantasy. Doesn’t really matter. Richburg better be getting his daisy dukes ready because he’s about to be staring a bull strait in the eyes.
Parker’s team is well… here. Its not good. It’s not terrible. Its just here. And it really needs Christian Mccaffery. Dj Moore had a huge game and looks to be one of the most valuable WR’s in fantasy. Corey Davis put up a big game but with Crowder and Denzel Mims back, he’s not long for this fantasy relevant world. The running backs past Mccaffery are uninspiring. This seasons going to be a slog but luckily for him it’ll only last 9 more weeks.
JW vs Richie

One of these teams is bad and the other is injured and bad.
The highest scorer for Richie’s team was his kicker and that sounds bad until you realize he was the 2nd highest scorer in the whole matchup. I would continue to advise Richie to trade his way to relevance, but I’m not sure there’s that much here to trade.
Jw’s team is decimated. Might as well pack it in right here.
These two are going to have to stay involved to avoid the bull but that’s all there are really tuning in for.
Chip Vs Sam
And we are back! Oh, my team is still trash. This is all a mirage. Well that’s disappointing.
There was one good team in this matchup and that team is now 1-3.
Sam’s team is led by…Deebo Samuel? Wait what, one of the leagues historically target diverse teams has decided to throw to one player. Kyle Shanahan deciding to feature you is usually a good thing for fantasy production. He’s got all the running backs a manager could ask for. How is this team 1-3? I don’t know but I expect it to get back on track soon.
As for me, well I’m gonna ride this bucking bronco until the legs fall off. Its going to be up down up down all season and there’s nothing more fun in fantasy than trying to take the reigns of a wildly out of control team.
First Quarter Power Rankings
We are just slightly before the ¼ season mark , dumb 17 week season, but its time for a playoff predictor update.
- Pat- 85% playoff odds- This team is good and has 4 wins in its back pocket. The only thing keeping this team from the playoffs is a rash of injuries.
WilburnDerrick – 60% playoff odds- This team is just as good but is .500.- Corey- 55% playoff odds- this team is not quite as good but will likely slide in to the playoffs
- Sam- 40% playoff odds- Idk what’s going on here but regression to the mean says that this team will see its luck change at some point soon
- Mike- 30% playoff odds- very similar to Sam top 4 in points scored is usually gonna bring you into the playoff picture at some point
- Tripp- 20% playoff odds- The best of the rest that starts here. Tripp’s team is not great but a couple of good bounces could see him land in the playoffs
- Parker- 20% playoff odds- His team is here and hopefully CMac comes back soon
- Chandler -15% playoff odds- Unless his team is being shadow managed by someone else, Chandler is gonna Chandler at some point this season
- Chip- 15% playoff odds- The team is bad but not as bad as some other teams maybe I get lucky
- JW- 5% playoff odds- Decimated by injuries, by the time everyone gets back it’ll be too late
- Richie -10% playoff odds- But wait I thought this was a power rankings why is Richie’s playoff percentage higher than JW’s? Well dummies, because his team is bad but he doesn’t have his whole lineup injured. It would take a lot of lucky bounces but its more feasible that he makes the playoffs than JW.
- Richburg- 2% playoff odds- I mean never say never but *quietly whispers never*
